Why I Do What I Do

Growing up in a small town and having a big family, I was the poster child of the phrase “it takes a village.” Childhood and adolescence are such pivotal times in the early development of identity and personality, and the proper support and guidance make a world of difference in shaping one’s future. The power of community, resilience, and growth is ultimately what inspired me to work with children, teens, and families.

I bring a natural curiosity and compassion to every interaction, creating space for you to share your struggles, triumphs, hopes, and desires. Over the years, I’ve supported parents in navigating child behavioral challenges, strengthening trust and communication, and understanding their child’s development and diagnoses through coaching or psychoeducation. These experiences have deepened my passion for working with adults as well – especially older adults seeking clarity, healing, and mastery in the context of their own stories.

I am someone who values flexibility within structure and am happy to create an evidence-based treatment plan we can work on together, making changes as needed, and celebrate together each milestone. Some prefer more informal support and appreciate exploring what comes up in each session, with honest and productive challenges to bring about their desired growth.

Ultimately, my goal is to help others recognize the incredible potential within each of us to live a rich and fulfilling life. Our time together will empower you to uncover and strengthen your inner resources, enabling you to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and to thrive amidst change and adversity. I hope you’ll come and start your journey with me.
